Michigan live entertainment is powered by artists with a point of view. At Monster Presents!™, our performers are not interchangeable names on a lineup. They are drag artists, hosts, burlesque performers, musicians, DJs, sideshow artists and character entertainers who help build the worlds audiences enter.
We call them Monsters because the name fits the work. Each artist brings something recognizable: a character, visual language, comic instinct, performance discipline or way of commanding a room.
A roster built around individuality
A strong company roster should offer range without flattening the artists inside it. Monster Presents!™ does not need twenty versions of the same performer. We need people who can bring different skills to different productions.
One show may require an experienced host who can manage a loud dining room. Another may need theatrical movement, high-energy dance, burlesque, horror character work, comedy or intimate storytelling. Casting begins with the experience and the audience.
What it means to be a Monster
A Monster brings more than an act. Professional communication, preparation, timing, collaboration and respect for the venue matter alongside stage presence.
In character-driven productions, performers also need to understand the larger world. They may interact with guests before the show, return as a recurring character or help carry a story between formal performance numbers.
Drag is part of our DNA
Alternative drag is central to Monster Presents!™. Our stages make room for glamour, horror, camp, comedy, kings, queens, creatures and artists who refuse a narrow category.
Drag can lead a brunch, host bingo, anchor a theater revue, roam a festival or become part of an immersive dining story. We treat the art form as a creative engine rather than a single event format.
Burlesque, music and multidisciplinary performance
Our original productions can also include burlesque, live music, DJs, sideshow, dance and theatrical character work. Combining disciplines gives a show texture.
The blend is intentional. A burlesque act may shift the pace of a cabaret. A DJ can shape the room before doors and carry the night into an afterparty. A character performer can turn a hallway or entrance into part of the event.
Hosts hold the room together
The host is often the audience’s guide. They explain the rules, protect the schedule, introduce the cast, manage participation and keep energy alive during service or technical transitions.
We cast hosts for the specific room. A brunch host needs a different rhythm from a late-night cabaret emcee or a festival presenter speaking to people who arrived halfway through the set.
Artist development inside the Monster ecosystem
Performance gets stronger when artists have room to practice, receive feedback and take on new responsibilities. Through the Monster Drag Collective and development initiatives, emerging performers can build makeup, costume, character, stage presence and professional skills.
Monster Presents!™ then creates live opportunities where that growth can meet an audience. The connection between development and production supports a healthier creative pipeline.
How venues book Monster performers
Individual Monster pages show each artist’s style, disciplines, upcoming appearances and available booking types. Bookings are coordinated through Monster Presents!™ so the performer, venue and event details stay connected.
Artists may be available for drag shows, nightlife, festivals, Pride events, private parties, weddings, hosting, character work and original productions. The exact lineup depends on date, location, audience, capacity and budget.
Follow a performer into the next show
Every Monster profile can connect audiences to upcoming appearances. That makes the roster useful for guests as well as venues. If a performer made the night memorable, fans can find the next production instead of waiting for an algorithm to show them a post.
Visit the Monster roster to explore performer profiles, then check the upcoming event calendar for the next chance to see them live.
