Christmas belongs to the weirdos.
Christmas has become painfully perfect. Everything matches, everyone behaves and anything strange has been pushed out. Then, on Christmas Eve, an invitation summons a collection of creatures, misfits and troublemakers to the North Pole.
They soon discover that every one of them has landed on the Naughty List. Their mission is to get off it before midnight. They are spectacularly bad at being nice.
The Naughty List
Each Monster makes a case for belonging through a featured act while the host puts the cast—and sometimes the audience—through ridiculous holiday challenges. The failures pile up until one guest earns the title of Naughtiest Person in the Room.
The Holly King
An ancient winter ruler arrives with a plan for the “perfect” Christmas: no monsters, no misfits and no chaos. The conflict becomes bigger than escaping a list. The Monsters must decide whether they want acceptance from someone who never intended to include them.
The finale
They stop asking permission and create their own Christmas instead. The stage erupts into a gothic holiday celebration, the audience chooses joyful chaos over perfection and the Monsters discover that being different was never what made them naughty.
What kind of show is it?
This 90-minute adult variety show can feature drag, burlesque, comedy, magic, music, circus and specialty acts. The cast may change from season to season, but the story remains: funny first, spectacular second, spooky third and genuinely warm underneath it all.
Bring it to your stage
The production scales from intimate rooms to 500-capacity venues with a cast of four to six. Monster Presents!™ handles casting, programming, the run of show, production coordination and promotional assets; the venue handles the room, ticketing and front of house.
Your stage. Our production. The most wonderful nightmare of the year.

How it comes together
What audiences get
- PRE-SHOWThe audience enters Santa’s increasingly strange North Pole. The Monsters have been summoned because they are on the Naughty List and must plead their cases before midnight.
- ACT I — THE NAUGHTY LISTSanta welcomes the audience and introduces the rules. Each Monster gets a featured performance to prove they deserve a place in Christmas. Between acts, Santa conducts comic holiday challenges and audience interactions. The harder the Monsters try to behave, the more obvious it becomes that Santa’s idea of Christmas requires everyone to be perfect.
- AUDIENCE FEATURESanta and the Monsters identify the Naughtiest Person in the Room through a short interactive challenge.
- ACT I CLIMAXSanta rejects the Monsters’ efforts and reveals his real agenda: a perfect Christmas with no misfits, monsters or chaos. Santa becomes the show’s antagonist — Evil Santa / the Holly King persona — and threatens to erase the Monsters from Christmas entirely.
- INTERMISSIONApproximately 15 minutes.
- ACT II — CHRISTMAS BITES BACKThe Monsters return no longer trying to earn Santa’s approval. Featured acts become bolder, stranger and more celebratory as they build their own version of Christmas.
- CONFRONTATIONSanta attempts one final perfect-Christmas takeover. The Monsters enlist the audience to reject the rules and choose a Christmas where the strange belong.
- FINALESanta is defeated, transformed or reluctantly brought into the celebration. Full-cast finale: Christmas belongs to the weirdos. Curtain call and audience send-off.
